to break with care is part of a ritual performance project titled, (may there be) Good Atmosphere Between Us: The Parables of NOW to be performed anywhere it is needed over the next four years or for as long as you deem it necessary.

(may there be) Good Atmosphere Between Us: The Parables of NOW (GABU) is a site/land responsive dance and multi-disciplinary ritual performance project that responds to the current global climate crisis through a process of land listening, prayer, land labor, durational movement and Yorubá/Lukumí derived divination practices. Grounded in a collection of community narratives intermingled with African and Indigenous mythologies and sacred texts, this ritual performance experience is guided by the core question, “How do we activate our collective ancient and future wisdom to survive, adapt, and heal from climate catastrophe and political chaos in the Anthropocene?”

This offering is made possible through the generous support of The Zellerbach Family Foundation, the Marin Community Foundation, and the BANDALOOP Resident Artist program.
