Somewhere to Oakland Fund

Going Above and Beyond for Oakland Arts

Somewhere to Oakland Donors, Producing Partners, and Sponsors fill in the wind we lost with the withdrawal of our NEA project grant and recent reductions in local funding.

As a 34 year old Oakland-based arts non-profit the support of our donor community is critical to our ongoing strength of presence locally. Without individual support at a local level programs like Somewhere to Oakland are too few and far between. At a time when Oakland is slashing its cultural budget and the arts are under attack at a national level, the power of the people is more important than ever in giving the cultural vibrancy of The Town wings.

Somewhere to Oakland is 100% free to attend thanks to the support of our lead funders at the Kenneth Rainin Foundation and CA Arts in Parks. This multi-week program will provide jobs and opportunity for more than 30 artists and provide multi-lingual, family-friendly arts, fully-accessible arts events for the hundreds of residents and visitors to Oakland moving through the Plaza this July. Your contributions will directly support our many Bay Area-based Somewhere to Oakland Artists and allow this project to soar.

Explore the giving options above and the project specific benefits received with each.
Donors at and over $500 will have access to the Rotunda Rooftop Birdseye Oasis, a respite and recharge space above the Plaza for our key project stakeholders.
Donors over $1000 have access to our Somewhere to Oakland Concierge to provide personal recommendations and reminders for activities and events throughout Somewhere to Oakland.
All contributions to the Somewhere to Oakland Fund are tax deductible to the full extent allowed by law. Whatever level you are at, we are so grateful to have your support in this unprecedented work for BANDALOOP and Oakland.

Thank you!
